It’s never an easy job, writing your first blog entry. So many ideas rush forward about potential topics. You pick one, start it, and realise you’ve got absolutely no juice. But you’re determined. You want to beat this writer’s block. So you take a break. Grab a snack. Watch some YouTube. Have a meal. Check what’s on TV. Nap. And still nothing. You reluctantly change topics, but the process repeats itself. You’re frustrated beyond belief, and you question whether it really was a good idea to start a blog at all. What if no one likes what I write? Do I like what I write? Can I even write? And what’s with my colour scheme??

Idea-generating can be a daunting process, and getting “in the mood” to write rarely aligns with bursts of inspiration. But when ideas strike its usually 3am, you’re “engaged” in conversation, or there are no writing instruments within reach for the next 20 kilometres. At least you’re not getting paid for it though, right? Yeah, that would really suck. But you know what doesn’t suck? Doing things that make you happy. And without the frustration of writer’s block and ill-timed A-HA! moments, you wouldn’t feel as good when you’re in the zone and everything flows perfectly.
I’m not sure what I’m going to be posting in this blog. It’ll likely be awkward, cringe-worthy, and on occasion, funny. I’ll take a shot at insightful, too. Perhaps even dabble in enlightening. It will definitely offend and compliment, probably simultaneously. Most importantly, I hope it provides moderately refreshing entertainment. Just like every other blog in the interworld.
Oooh, this has my retina wriggling in excitement!!! Looking forward to your unique insight! Keep it up!
